BEI provided architectural/engineering design and construction support services for a new 20,000 s.f. Common Use Warehouse Facility owned by Wayne County, for the purpose of housing multiple airline tenants, their airfreight and cargo operations.

 

Building Features include:

 

•      A depressed loading dock with seven loading docks

•      Dock levelers with dock locks to accommodate truck shipping on the west side of the building

•      The east side of the building has two large surface doors to access the AOA area of the airport for tug traffic

•      Common toilet facilities

•      Basic mechanical and electrical systems

•      A wet fire protection system with overhead sprinklers

•      ADA approved.

 

The site work includes a paved concrete driveway and loading dock areas for truck traffic, along with concrete paved ramps, and apron paving on the AOA side of the building for tugs.
